Pastor
I pastor the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion, Ohio, and have for the past 32 years. We have and are supporting missionaries from there. I was call into the service of the Lord on March 6, 1960. Bro. Mel Rutter was holding service at the church in Illinois we attended (he has stayed in our home many times since). He stopped by the school I was attending before he left town back in 1960, and had me pulled out of class, backed me up against the wall. With his hands on the wall on either side of my head, face to face he said "Ron Douglas you aren't anything and you will never be anything, but an ambassador for the Lord Jesus Christ and that is the greatest thing you can ever be." He was right has I started preaching in 1965 and God has been good. I hope to meet you folks someday before heaven, but if not we will meet in glory.
I am sure that Bro Mel looks down from heaven cheers me on with a smile.

Thanks for the great work.
I just wanted to encourage everyone to keep up the good work. I was saved at the Institute back in 1990. We actually lived in front of the Haven for a few years and I attended Maranatha Baptist School. My mom taught the junior age children during the Institute for many years. It is good to see the work still going. Bro.Crumpton was such a blessing to me during my pre-teen and teen years. For those who might actually remember me, I was Deborah Carver at the time. The church and mission holds a special place in my heart.

Pastor
We served with Maranatha in the 70s through 1979. We loved the mission and loved the work.
I pastor a church in Bandera, TX and also run a small mission in Mexico.
I noticed that Dottie Rutter was listed as one of the missionaries. Praise the Lord! Bro. Mel was a good friend as was Dr. Crumpton.
Keep up the good work!
